Peanut meal is a by-product of the U.S. peanut oil industry. Oil is extracted from non-GMO peanuts and the leftover meal is then pelletized and crumbled into a flowable dust-free consistency. Peanut meal typically contains 8 percent total nitrogen (~5.5 percent water insoluble), 1 percent available phosphate (P2O5), and 2 percent soluble potash (K2O).
